Bodywise Physical Therapy is owned by Ryan and Karen Poplaski, a husband and wife physical therapy team. One of their primary goals is for Bodywise to be a vital part of the community.

Karen Poplaski, MPT Karen

"Karen was excellent; friendly, very pleasant, seemed well aware and helpful with the problem - and explained everything quite well."

Karen, the primary treating therapist, implements a personal and direct approach to meet each individual's health needs. She utilizes hands-on therapy to return the patient to their pre-injury status.

Karen graduated from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine in 2001 with a Master of Physical Therapy, following earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences there the previous year.  After graduation, Karen took her skills to California, where she worked as a physical therapist in Fort Jones and then Lompoc. In late 2004, Karen returned to the New England area where she'd gone to school and had grown to love.

Ryan Poplaski, MPT Ryan

Ryan draws from his knowledge of manual therapy techniques, orthopedic rehabilitation and sports specific training to provide a well-rounded treatment plan for his patients.

Ryan also earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Services and Master of Physical Therapy degress from the University of New England in Biddeford, completing his masters in 2001. Ryan headed to Arizona, beginning his career as the head physical therapist at a hospital in a rural area of Arizona. His time in Arizona gave Ryan valuable training, not only in his treatment of patients, but also in management areas, too. Ryan spent time working and supervising at a clinic in California before he and Karen returned to the east coast.

After settling into their new home area, Ryan and Karen focused on continuing to expand their skills and talents, gaining knowledge and experience while working in various treatment environments. They knew, however, that their dream was to establish their own clinic, where they could bring together all that they had learned. Careful research of the area showed a need in the Epping/Raymond/Lee area of the Seacoast Region of New Hampshire for just the sort of facility they had in mind - a family-owned physical therapy clinic that specialized in the personal, individualized approach they knew was so important and effective in getting patients back to their normal routines.

Because this is the area where Karen and Ryan live as well as work, involvement in the community is foremost for them. Bodywise Physical Therapy sponsors local youth sports teams, participates in local events and visits area nursing and rehab facilities to help their friends and neighbors get the most out of every day.
