Custom Orthotics
With a doctor's prescription, Bodywise is now able provide custom-made orthotics. Orthotics are used to correct improper foot mechanics that cause pain and discomfort. Many times what happens at the foot can also cause pain at the knee, hip and even the back. However, not everyone is meant for orthotics. Sometimes the pain can be resolved by a simple shoe change or by treating the knee or hip.
To create an orthotic, a cast is made of your foot and sent out to a company that will design a shoe insert that corrects any foot abnormalities. This puts your foot in the correct position when it hits the ground.
Semi-Custom Orthotics
We're excited to also offer semi-custom orthotics to our patients. While our fully custom orthotics cost around $200 a pair, semi-custom orthotics are around $60. For many patients, a semi-custom orthotic will offer welcome relief for their foot, leg and back pain caused by improper foot mechanics.
Whether you require a fully-custom or semi-custom orthotic, we're pleased to offer you the relief you're seeking for one-half to one-third of the amount you'd pay for similar products elsewhere.
